2023 Rodeo Carolina Youth Showcase

The 2023 Series will feature CEAT Specialty WCRA DY Showcase events in Mill Spring, North Carolina. the event will pay $55,000 and feature the top eight from the Junior DY Leaderboard (19 and under) in each discipline.

Event: Rodeo Carolina
Location: Mill Spring, NC
Arena: Tryon International Equestrian Center
When: October 7, 2023 at 11 a.m.

Who Qualifies

Each discipline’s top eight on the leaderboard as of September 10 will qualify for the event. Athletes can qualify by nominating any age-restricted youth rodeo and earning points for the WCRA Junior Leaderboard positions using the VRQ (Virtual Rodeo Qualifier).

Entry Fees and Payout

Those who qualify will be required to pay a $300 entry fee (100% payback). The event will be one round of competition and is highlighted by $28,600 added money ($2,600 added per discipline) with each event champion taking home a minimum of $2,000.

Top Four Payout:
1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,500
3rd Place: $1,000
4th Place: $500

Event Disciplines

The Showcase will crown champions in each of the 11 Junior disciplines: Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping (Heading/Heeling), Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Pole Bending, Ladies Goat Tying, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.
