WCRA (World Champions Rodeo Alliance) Division Youth, is excited to announces a cash bonus, a monthly award that will pay a $200 cash bonus and a $100 VRQ Bucks Gift Card to DY athletes who earns the most nomination points for a single discipline in their respected category:
- Timed Event- Youth Men’s
- Timed Events- Youth Women
- Timed Events- Junior Men’s
- Timed Event- Junior Women
- Roughstock
The award will be available to all youth and junior athletes who nominate their 2025 rodeo efforts in their respected discipline (bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping heading, team roping heeling, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and bull riding) through the Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ) towards the 2025 DY leaderboard (DY25):
The timeframe for the bonus will begin December 1, 2024 and conclude at the end of the 2024-25 segment on June 22, 2025.
The cash bonuses will be awarded based on a single discipline total cumulative points earned throughout the month in their respected category listed above. As of December 1, all points that athletes earn will put them in a leaderboard race for a chance to earn the $200 cash bonus and the $100 VRQ Bucks Gift Card.
The 2025 DY schedule includes the 2025 $55,000 Rodeo Corpus Christi Youth Showcase (May 6) and the 2025 World Championship Junior Rodeo (July 22-26), set to payout a near $400,000.
Since its inception in 2019, WCRA DY has awarded nearly $1 million in new money to youth rodeo athletes.
