What is a Top Hand Bonus?
A Top Hand Bonus is an additional cash and prize incentive awarded to high-performing athletes who nominate their events through WCRA’s Division Youth (DY) system.
JUNIOR PATRIOT TOP HAND
To be eligible for the Top Hand Bonus, athletes must:
– Must nominate the Junior Patriot Semi-Finals/Finals before the first round of competition
Earned Points go on the DY25 leaderboard toward the Cinch World Championship Jr. Rodeo. Â The top 12 in the DY25 Leaderboard to WCJR (World Championship Junior Rodeo) at The Lazy E in July as of June 22 will be seeded to the Semi-Finals round.
Since the formats varies based on the events we will give three separate awards to athletes that nominate. Each Champion will receive a Smarty Super Shorty and a Turtlebox Bluetooth Speaker.
Bull Riding :
1ST PLACE – $500 Cash plus $200 VRQ Bucks
2ND PLACE- $300 VRQ Bucks
3RD PLACE- $200 VRQ Bucks
Barrel Racing and Pole Bending-
1ST PLACE- $1000 Cash plus $200 VRQ Bucks
2ND PLACE- $500 VRQ Bucks
3RD PLACE- $300 VRQ Bucks
4TH PLACE- $200 VRQ Bucks
5TH-10TH PLACE- $100 VRQ Bucks

1ST PLACE- $1000 Cash plus $200 VRQ Bucks
2ND PLACE- $500 VRQ Bucks

5TH-10TH PLACE- $100 VRQ Bucks
VRQ Bucks are redeemable towards the purchase of Nominations with WCRA. When you nominate, they are redeemed on the WCRA App on the pay screen.
The athlete with the most VRQ Points in a single discipline at the conclusion of the Junior Patriot will be crowned the Top Hand Winners.
All VRQ Points earned from every round and the aggregate will be combined to determine an athlete’s total event points. Division 2 (DY2) points will be used, and points will be awarded up to 10 places per round or aggregate.
Athletes must earn a qualified score or time to be eligible for points.

THSRA TOP HAND
To be eligible for the Top Hand Bonus, athletes must:
– Nominate Segment DY25 in the VRQ before the first round of competition
– Select the disciplines they want to be considered for.
– Nominate multiple disciplines to increase their chances of securing the bonus.
THSRA Finals Top Hand Bonus rewards the top 10 athletes with cash prizes and VRQ Bucks.
– Top Hand Champion: $5,000 one-time bonus.
– Runner-up: $3,000 cash prize.
– Third place: $2,000 cash prize.
– Fourth place: $1,000 in VRQ Bucks.
– Fifth place: $500 in VRQ Bucks.
– Sixth – Tenth place: $200 in VRQ Bucks each.
VRQ Bucks can be used toward future nominations.
The athlete with the most VRQ Points in a single discipline at the conclusion of the THSRA State Finals will be crowned the Top Hand Winners.
