This Saturday, Nov. 4, some of the brightest youth stars in rodeo will compete under the roof of the historic Cowtown Coliseum with their eyes set on the CEAT Division Youth (DY) Cowtown Showcase Championship title. The 2023 Series will feature a CEAT Specialty WCRA DY Showcase event in Fort Worth, Texas. This event will pay $55,000 and feature the top eight from the Junior DY Leaderboard (19 and under) in each discipline.

Heeling the event is none other than Amy Ohrt, the reigning CINCH World Championship Junior Rodeo Presented by Montanta Silversmiths (WCJR) All-Around Cowgirl from Victoria, Texas. Competing in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, and Breakaway Roping, Ohrt will look to make her mark on yet another WCRA youth event. Briar White, who also found success at the 2023 WCJR as the reigning youth All Around Cowboy and Tie Down Roping champion, will also look to continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the timed events.

In Goat Tying, the competition will be fierce with WCJR Youth Goat Tying Champion Alli Autrey on the pack’s heels, as she looks to take home another WCRA youth title.

The young roping stars Kaitlyn Torres and Jacob Stansbury will compete in both heading and heeling, making Team Roping an exciting event. With past WCRA DY Showcase winners like Conley Kleinhans also taking a swing at the $55,000 payout, the competition is sure to be one rodeo fans will not want to miss.

Colt Bass, an all-around hand fresh off of a successful Rodeo Carolina showcase, will compete in the Saddle Bronc Riding, alongside Jase Stout, who is riding high off his recent United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA) Saddle Bronc Riding Rookie of the Year win.
